MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL AND EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
JUNE 19,2000
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Town Council was convened and called to order by Mayor
Morgan at 5:30 P.M., Monday,June 19, 2000, in the Fountain Hills Town Hall Conference Room,
located at 16836 E. Palisades Blvd., Building C,Fountain Hills, Arizona.
AGENDA ITEM #1 - ROLL CALL —Present were Mayor Sharon Morgan, Vice Mayor Sharon
Hutcheson and Councilmembers John Wyman, Susan Ralphe, John McNeill, Leesa Fraverd, and
John Kavanagh. Also present were Town Manager Paul Nordin, Town Attorney Bill Farrell,
Community Development Director Jeff Valder, and Director of Administration/Town Clerk Cassie
Hansen.
AGENDA ITEM #1 — PURSUANT TO A.R.S. §38-431.03.A.4., AND A.R.S. 38-431.03.A.7.t
VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR DISCUSSION OR CONSULTATION
WITH THE ATTORNEYS OF THE PUBLIC BODY IN ORDER TO CONSIDER ITS
POSITION AND INSTRUCT ITS ATTORNEYS REGARDING THE PUBLIC BODY'S
POSITION IN PENDING OR CONTEMPLATED LITIGATION REGARDING THE
TOWN VERSUS MCO PROPERTIES; AND DISCUSSIONS OR CONSULTATIONS
WITH DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PUBLIC BODY IN ORDER TO
CONSIDER ITS POSITION AND INSTRUCT ITS REPRESENTATIVES REGARDING
NEGOTIATION FOR THE PURCHASE OR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY WITH
REGARDS TO THE POSSIBLE ACQUISITION PARCELS IN THE MCDOWELL
MOUNTAINS; RESPECTIVELY.
Mayor Morgan MOVED that the Council recess the Special Secession and convene the
Executive Session at 5:31 p.m. and Councilwoman Fraverd SECONDED the motion, which
CARRIED unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM#2—RETURN TO SPECIAL SESSION.
Mayor Morgan reconvened the Regular Session of the Town Council at 6:24 p.m.
AGENDA ITEM#3 - ADJOURNMENT.
Councilman Wyman MOVED to adjourn the meeting. Councilwoman Fraverd SECONDED
the motion, which CARRIED unanimously. Mayor Morgan adjourned the meeting at 6:25 p.m.
