MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
March 21, 2006
Mayor Nichols called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL — Present for roll call were the following members of the Fountain Hills Town Council: Mayor
Nichols, Councilmembers Archambault, Kavanagh, Kehe, and McMahan. Town Manager Tim Pickering and
Assistant Town Manager Ellen Pence, and Town Clerk Bev Bender were also present. Town Attorney Andrew
McGuire attended via a telephone conference call. Vice Mayor Schlum was absent.
CALL TO THE PUBLIC
None.
AGENDA ITEM #1 - CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 2006-21 DECLARING AND ADOPTING
THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 14, 2006.
Mr. Pickering stated the all -council positions were filled at the Primary Election and no General Election was
required. He stated the results as:
Mayor — Wallace J. Nichols elected
Councilmembers - Michael Archambault, Ginny Dickey, and Henry Leger elected
Councilman McMahan asked what was the total number of ballots required in order to be declared elected at the
Primary. Mr. Pickering responded the number was 1,412 (50%+1 or total valid ballots [2,822] divided by 2 plus 1).
Councilmember McMahan MOVED to approve Resolution 2006-21 and Councilmember Archambault
SECONDED the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
AGENDA ITEM #2 - ADJOURNMENT.
Councilmember Kehe MOVED that the Council adjourn and Councilmembe cMahan SECONDED the motion,
which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. The meeting adjourned at 4:33 p.m.
