AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING DISTRICTS MAP OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS AND CREATING TWO NEW PLANNED
UNIT DEVELOPMENT ZONING DISTRICTS FOR THE FIREROCK
COUNTRY CLUB AREA.
WHEREAS The Town of Fountain Hills adopted Ordinance #93-22, on November 18, 1993,
which adopted the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Fountain Hills; and
WHEREAS Chapter 2, Section 2.01 of the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Fountain Hills,
provides for a procedure to amend said ordinance, and
WHEREAS The Town of Fountain Hills adopted Resolution #1997-62 which adopted the
FireRock Country Club Area Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS The Town of Fountain Hills desires to rezone the FireRock Country Area in
accordance with the FireRock Area Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS The procedures detailed in Chapter 2, Section 2.01 of the Zoning Ordinance for
the Town of Fountain Hills has been followed; and
WHEREAS The Town of Fountain Hills has advertised the proposed Official Zoning Map
changes and text changes in the official newspaper of general circulation, The
Times of Fountain Hills on December 24 and 31, 1997 and January 7 and 14,
1998 by showing the map changes and showed the text changes in large bold
letters; and
WHEREAS The Planning and Zoning Commission's public hearing and the Town Council's
public hearing was advertised in the official newspaper of general circulation, The
Times of Fountain Hills on December 24 and 31, 1997 and January 7 and 14,
1998; and
WHEREAS Public hearings were held by the Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission
on January 8, 1998, and by the Fountain Hills Town Council on January 15, 1998.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Districts Maps of The Zoning Ordinance for the Town of
Fountain Hills is amended as shown in Attachment "A". The legal descri�?tions
of these zoning district boundaries in Attachment "ICAIL

PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
