HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1999-10 L TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS ORDINANCE 99-10 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2.01 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTION 7.03.B.5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS BY AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR LANDSCAPING OF PARKING AREAS. WHEREAS, The Town of Fountain Hills adopted Ordinance #93-22, on November 18, 1993, which adopted the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Fountain Hills; and WHEREAS, Chapter 2, PROCEDURES. Section 2.01, Amendments or Zone Changes. establishes the authority and procedures for amending the zoning ordinance; and WHEREAS, Public hearings were advertised in the February 10, 17, 24 and March 4, 1999. editions of The Times of Fountain Hills and Rio Verde, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes §9-462.04, and WHEREAS, Public hearings were held by the Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission on February 25, 1999 and the Mayor and Common Council on March 4, 1999. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Town of Fountain Hills Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 5 Section 5.03.6.5 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Fountain Hills Shall be amended by amending the requirements for landscaping in parking areas as shown in Exhibit PASs F: L 3-y— � • ION i ► 51wf-� SECONDc31o�- COUNT "2--0 PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona, this 4th day of March, 1999. Farrell, Town Attorney L Ordinance 1999-10 Page 2 of 3 EXHIBIT "A" CHAPTER 7 PARKING AND LOADING REQUIREMENTS 7.03 Design and Location of Parking Spaces. B. All Uses Except as Provided Above. 5. Landscaping: In addition to the perimeter landscaping, a minimum of five percent of the interior parking lot must be landscaped in accordance with a landscape plan submitted to and approved by the Community Development Department. Such landscaping must be maintained for the duration of the use of the parking lot. LANDSCAPING SHALL BE DEVELOPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARDS OF ARTICLE VI, SECTION 605.C.1-5 NON-ABUTTING AREAS OF THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS.
