HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2004-26 RESOLUTION NO.2004-26 thrsw A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET AS THE 2004-2005 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS. WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 42-17101, et seq., the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills (the "Town Council") desires to estimate (i) the different amounts required to meet the public expenditures/expenses for the ensuing year, (ii) the revenues from sources other than direct taxation and (iii) the amount to be raised by taxation upon real and personal property of the Town of Fountain Hills (the"Town"); and WHEREAS, following due public notice and publication, the Council met on May 21, 2004, and June 3, 2004, at which meetings any taxpayer was privileged to appear and be heard in favor of or against any of the proposed expenditures/expenses or tax levies; and WHEREAS, it appears that the sums to be raised by taxation do not, in the aggregate, exceed the limits in Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 42-17051(A). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA as follows: SECTION 1. That the statements and schedules attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference are hereby adopted as the official tentative budget for the Town for flivar the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004 and ending June 30, 2005, including the establishment of the expenditure limitation for such fiscal year in the amount of$29,176,606. SECTION 2. That, upon approval of the Town Council, such official tentative budget shall be published in the official Town newspaper once a week for two consecutive weeks.
