A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCII. OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE
RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 14, 2006.
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills (the "Town") did hold a primary election on
March 14, 2006 (the "Primary Election") for the nomination/election of the Mayor and three
Councilmembers; and
WHEREAS, the Primary Election returns have been presented to and have been
canvassed by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the total number of ballots cast at the Primary Election, as shown by
the poll lists was 2,822.
SECTION 2. That the number of provisional ballots was 47, the number of conditional
provisional ballots was 6, the number of challenged ballots was 0, the number of invalid ballots
was 16.
SECTION 3. That the votes cast for the candidates for Mayor were as follows:

SECTION 5. That it is hereby found, determined and declared of record, that the
following candidates for Mayor and Councilmembers did receive the greatest number of votes of ,4400)

SECTION 6. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption.

CERTIFICATE OF OFFICIAL ELECTION
RETURNS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION
Liiw HELD IN THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,
ON MARCH 14, 2006.
WHEREAS, for the Primary Election held in and for the Town of Fountain Hills,
Arizona (the "Town"), on March 14, 2006 ("Election"), the Town Clerk, as the officer in charge of
elections, authorized execution of an agreement with Maricopa County, Arizona ("the County")
whereby the County's electronic voting system was used to tabulate the votes cast by qualified electors
at the Election; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to this agreement and by authority of the Town Clerk, the
electronic voting system, computer election tabulation programs, specifications, and voting equipment
were tested prior to the Election and found to be in compliance with A.R.S. §§ 16-441 through 16-452;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the agreement and by authority of the Town Clerk, election
and tabulation boards performed the duties required by Title 16 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, and
prepared and delivered an abstract of the vote in accordance with A.R.S. §§ 16-618 through 16-621 to
the undersigned officer in charge of the Election; and
WHEREAS, the undersigned Town Clerk, the officer in charge of this Election, has
caused the attached official returns to be prepared to reflect the returns from each polling place and the
early ballots, and the vote for each candidate appearing on the ballot.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-622, the undersigned certifies that the
official returns for this Election are attached hereto and made a part hereof, and that they contain a true
and correct count of all of the valid ballots cast by early voters and by voters at the polling places at the
Election.

Please see the attached report provided by Maricopa County Elections late yesterday afternoon.
This report reflects the total number of provisional ballots as well as the invalid provisional and
invalid early ballots.
Under Section 2 of Resolution 2006-21, the total number of invalid ballots was inadvertently
listed as 15 and the total of invalid ballots has been revised to 16.
